The Toys For Tots event is being held at Empire’s Comics in Sacramento, CA December 18th; many artists from around Sacramento are going to gather to draw and take commissioned art work with all funds going to the Toys For Tots charity; Marines will also be on hand to take toys.

The event will also be streamed where people can watch the artists and also bid on art work and they will also do commissioned artwork.

Aid For Aiden

Aiden Reed was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 5 years old; he has a love of monsters and horror so in an effort to help raise money for his chemo treatments he has been selling his artwork of monsters; to help Aiden and his family Comic Book Divas and Scattered Comics Studios have created a print of Aiden as one of his favorite monsters (The Creature From The Black Lagoon) with all the money going to the Aid For Aiden charity.

"Room and Board" Halloween 2010

"Room and Board" is taking reservations as the American Film Market in Santa Monica, CA on November 4, 2010 approaches, following a haunting Halloween weekend that gathered some of the cast members of the hilarious and spooktacular horror film. Fans of the horror genre are bracing themselves for a trip to the bloody "Room and Board", where patrons are dying to get in and end up on the menu.

The buzz already surrounds this star-studded horror flick, already positioned to become a cult classic. "Room and Board" features a colorful family on and off the screen, as most of the cast and crew have previously worked together on some of the most celebrated shows of this exciting genre.

Kane Hodder, William Katt and Darcy DeMoss will feast on the hearts of the "Friday the 13th" followers, "Halloween" revelers, "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" enthusiasts and "Carrie" fans. Academy Award nominees Burt Reynolds and Charles Durning flesh out this horror feast, based on a true story. Charles Durning tap-danced with Burt Reynolds in "Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" and garnered screams in "When A Stranger Calls".

Luke Goss of "Hellboy II" and Bokeem Woodbine of "Devil" go to the dark side in this black comedy. "Scream Queen 2009" winner, Brooke Lewis and a horror regular Brandon Slagle round out the killer cast of "Room and Board" with a poster that screams "Eat your heart out"!

Alot of you have been with us since day one of opening our doors. We took in alot of your suggestions to make Damned Society better. We remodeled the site for a more modern, sleeker look.

To make sure you get your full, daily dose of horror - effective immediately Damned Society will be broadcasting horror news from 3 popular networks (dreadcentral.com, shocktillyoudrop.com, and bloodydisgusting.com)

After alot of consideration we have decided to stop the "music profiles" (for now). We neglected to take small baby steps with the development of this site, and were trying to expand rather then focus on what we have. All music profiles have been reverted to basic profiles, so you may still login as usual. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we plan to make up for it with our kick ass site.

Synopsis:

Last Halloween, FFO broke the all-time attendance record for any single Rocky Horror show in Las Vegas history!
FFO are a talented, selfless group who believes in doing a quality presentation. The cast features several seasoned performers, some of whom have been performing Rocky Horror since the late 90s! FFO firmly believes that the audience comes first and that putting on the best performance they can is what this is all about. All cast members are over the age of 18. When Gary gets the call from the horror film director with a fear of rats, he discovers the real scare is the threat the rodents pose to the health of his wife, who is recovering from cervical cancer.

The Verminators “Lights! Camera! Vermin!” featuring the adventures at Mr. Fisher’s home will air this Sunday, September 13th at 9am on The Discovery Channel. “They brought over a bug wrangler and a couple BOXES of black widows. It was not easy holding still while they dangled the biggest Black Widow I’ve ever seen over my big toe with crazy glue and piano wire.” Added Mr. Fisher. “It took a lot of self control to just sit there with that big bug an inch away from my toe hanging by next to nothing.”

HIGH DRAMA: Bringin' "personal" Brooke stuff back! It has been 2 months and I am still recovering from my awful viral lung infection that truly stopped me in my vampy lil tracks! I've been taking it easy and feeling a bit better day by day. I cannot thank all of my friends and fans enough for all your emails, cards, love and support. I have done some serious soul-searching during this mess and have really gotten clear on what is important in life and what I want to create for my future. It is all about love, respect and upholding each other's highest good! It is about being around people and projects that make you a "better" person...and, we make them "better" in return! It is about giving people the "space" to be who they are supposed to be...even when it is difficult! It's about doing the best we can in each moment and not beating ourselves up when we aren't "perfect". It is about taking time out for ourselves and time to breathe! Funny that I would work myself to the bone and not come up for "air" trying to be "perfect" and get a viral lung infection, so I couldn't breathe for 2 months...interesting, huh? "When my friends, Arthur Cullipher and Kirk Chastain (from CLOCKWERK Pictures) gave me the script for COME and offered me the lead, I immediately said yes....the script is very "Lovecraftion", (and I LOVE H.P. Lovecraft)...it is by far the creepiest project I have been attached to, and some of the visual imagery that Arthur and Kirk have captured is VERY Dark and Haunting....and the gore scenes are not for the squeamish. HIGH DRAMA: Had to share this one, as "drama" follows me from Hollywood to Buffalo!!! :) So, I hit Buffalo last week to play the role of Nicole in SLIME CITY MASSACRE. I flew across country all day and was totally wiped out and ready to hit the sheets at my hotel. I was still on West Coast time, so I had a tough time falling asleep. I watched TV for hours and started to freak out, as I had to be up at 7am to get to set. I finally zonked out at 3am and was sleeping like a baby when the fire alarms start raging like crazy and the hotel gets evacuated! I thought I was having a nightmare, as it was 5am and I had to be up at 6am to get ready to shoot. The hotel guests sat outside for an hour before we were allowed back into our rooms. It turned out that a toaster oven had caught on fire in the kitchen...just my luck! :)

HOLLYWOOD: THE BOLLYWOOD BOYS: The old saying that "work begets work" really seems to hold true! I recently wrapped a film called THE SINATRA CLUB and met a wonderful guy who was working on production, James L. Bills. We totally bonded, as he shares a similar attitude and work ethic to mine! Through producer Crystal Wortman, I was brought into the movie DOUBLE TAP and low and behold...the DP was James L. Bills! (See where this is going? ;) James got to see my work in 2 back to back flicks and soon contacted me about 2 upcoming projects he is directing! We have recently done a deal to attach me to his hilarious comedy THE BOLLYWOOD BOYS. I am very excited and get to act in the film with the 2 leads...David Faustino and Corin Nemec (For all you 80's fans like me...BUD BUNDY and PARKER LEWIS!!!) Check out a quote from James:

""The Bollywood Boys" came from an idea that Producer Al Gomez (writer of the comedy classic "Joy Sticks") had 3 years ago. He let me run with that idea and by summer of 2008 I had completed the script. The roles of Jerry and Tom (our heroes) were written specifically for David Faustino & Corin Nemec (STAR-VING) who in 2009, along with their business partner Todd Bringewatt teamed with our production team making "The Bollywood Boys" an AGP / FNB production.

HIGH DRAMA: I know each week, I keep this section open to gossip, premieres, conventions, nights on the town, friends and personal stuff, but this week I want to get really personal. Those who know me know that I am like a powerful, lil energizer bunny who "keeps going and going" and doesn't stop...and, this is often true! Well, recently, I was stopped and my batteries died!!! Since the beginning of 09, I have been blessed with back to back projects, tons of public appearances, traveling to movie premieres and horror conventions all over the country and about 3 friend's weddings! A typical day of mine begins at 5:30 AM and ends around midnight. I was going for several months on about 4 hours sleep a night and spread really thin. I thought I could go at this pace forever and all the films, red carpets, money and "accomplishments" were worth it! Well, I crashed and burned on my last film and ended up with a severe viral lung infection that I am still fighting for over a month! I have been in/out of the hospital, on tons of steroids, meds and breathing machines, haven't been able to talk or breathe, took off work for 2 weeks and lost a film, have spent a fortune on doctor bills, herbs and expenses, haven't been able to work out and feel like someone beat the shit outta me! Why am I sharing this with you?...Not for sympathy, but to share my experience, lessons and realizations! As artists, we all work so hard to make our dreams and goals come true...we sacrifice things from romantic relationships to missing certain special moments with family and friends to vacations to sometimes even inner PEACE and HAPPINESS! We think if we "keep pounding the pavement" or take that next meeting or make that personal appearance, something HUGE will happen, so "I can't stop now"!!! Well, take it from a lil lady who was just "stopped", it doesn't matter what "level" we are at in our career or what "budget" films we are doing, it is about finding balance, love and INNER PEACE! It's about saying "NO" sometimes and being okay with it...and not "fearing" that more won't come! I have been suffering so for the past month, but believe that God and the Universe kicked my ass, so I would STOP and they could get my attention for a month :) I have done more resting, relaxing and spiritual work in one month, than in the past 2 years! I have counted my blessings and thanked God for the unbelievable family, friends, business associates and opportunities I have in my life! Funny how in the past month, I haven't been able to breathe, but was forced to take a huge "breather"...crazy how that works! ;) You may think I have rambled in this post, but if one thing I shared made you think about life or this craziness of a career we all love so much, then my job is done!

Whew...that was a purge! Gotta save some energy, because I am flying out this week to star in Greg Lamberson's SLIME CITY MASSACRE with Debbie Rochon and Lee Perkins, even if I have to take an oxygen tank with me!!!

HENRY Hill, the lovable mobster played by Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas" (1990), has become a pathetic, racist drunk, according to witnesses who saw him recently. Last week, "Crazy" Sal Polisi -- who testified against John Gotti at the Dapper Don's trial in 1986, and went into the witness protection program when Gotti was acquitted -- brought Hill to the Los Angeles set of "The Sinatra Club," the movie Polisi wrote about Gotti's first social club. "It was 10 a.m., and Hill was blitzed. He was pathetic," one cast member told Page Six. "And then he starts dropping the N-bomb. And we have black guys on the crew . . . He was escorted off and out." The picture stars Jason Gedrick as Polisi, Danny Nucci as Gotti, Michael Nouri as Carmine Fatico, Joey Lawrence as the club's "half-assed singer" and Leo Rossi as Paul Castellano.

CRYPTICON SEATTLE: Just returned from a horrific weekend at CRYPTICON with some of the nicest, most seasoned folks in horror! A big THANKS goes out to Bill and Troy and the CRYPTICON Seattle family for lining up an amazing group of horror peeps! I was fortunate to spend time with the hilarious Eileen Dietz, Adrienne King, Doug Jones, Don Coscarelli, Reggie Bannister, Gigi Fast Elk Porter, Ken Foree, Charlotte Kemp and many others.

HOLLYWOOD: Tragedy struck Hollywood last Thursday when I got the call from my director, Marc Clebanoff, of BREAK that I acted in with the late and great David Carradine! What a sad and terrible loss of a very talented man! Check out Marc's interview on The Wrap:

Remembering David Carradine

When the suggestion was initially made a few years ago to pursue David Carradine for a role in "Break," my first reaction was how appropriate it seemed. After all, who better to cast in a flick laden with killer kung fu than Caine himself?

It was without a doubt one of the best creative decisions I ever made as a director and producer. When you see his performance, I think you’ll agree.

On the first take, David held out his arms to fellow actor Frank Krueger, exclaimed, “Welcome, my friend” and hugged Frank -- just as the screenplay called for.

Following the embrace, however, Carradine ran his fingers through Frank’s hair and pecked him on the cheek. I leaned over to my assistant with a smile and noted, “That was interesting.”

On take two, that peck on the check transformed into a peck on the lips.

Take three was a real kiss.

Take four, however -- that’s what’s in the film. But it wasn’t sexual. It was just the kind of twisted genius that only comes from a truly gifted and amazing actor. One could only imagine what a fifth take might have entailed.

Watching David take an already colorful character and sequence and escalate it to a level that renders audible delight to anyone who has ever screened "Break" is to me what personifies David as a true star.

Nearly a year later -- in May of 2009 -- "Break" had its theatrical release in Los Angeles. I remember being very excited, yet slightly nervous because David was coming to see the film for the first time. One of the proudest moments I can recall in my professional career was standing next to him in a Q&A session following the opening-night screening and hearing him say, “With independent films you never know. I happen to really like this film.”

He looked me straight in the eyes as he said it -- despite the packed theater before him. A far cry from the man who challenged me to a sparring match on my set when he found out I was also a martial artist. But even then it seemed David was always making a point of passing along his knowledge, as if assuming the mentor role wherever he was, be it with a younger actor, a new director or even just a fellow martial artist.

As amazing as the performance that he gave me is, it seems that David’s greatest contributions to the people he worked with came between the lines.

David Carradine will be truly missed. His fans will remember his brightest on-screen moments and characters, but the people lucky enough to work with him will miss the element in David’s character that pushed everyone around him to achieve at a higher level.

Scheck, about his horror/sci-fi flick, TONIGHT, HE WALKS, that I am starring in and am waiting for the shooting dates for Anthony Brownrigg's THE EIGHT. Sleep? What the F^%K is that??? Wait...anyone need me for a ZOMBIE flick? Um...no FX needed ;)

KODIE (written by ABEL BERRY) tells the story of David (JAYSON CHAMPION), a paranormal investigator, who has come to a point in his life where everything he cares about is being ripped away by domestic turmoil. He soon finds himself and his team caught in a world of an enraged murderous little girl named Kodie (JENNIFER STONE) in the form of a teddy bear. Created by a Witch’s (ALAN ROWE KELLY) curse, she rips, eats, dismembers and lays waste to the abusive hearts of the town, leaving them in a pool of red chaos and mangled corpses, while Sheriff Briar (PARRISH RANDALL) does all he can to stop the killing. Now they must free themselves from the torment of Kodie’s ruthless and brutal Hell!

Her Nightmare To Remember film festival shall forever reverberate its
unseen yet still sentient, ghosting celluloid images upon the walls of the
Opera Plaza Theater.
And yet as a year of setting twilight blankets the city by the bay, such
social serenity shall yet once again face something awakening like a
forgotten foreboding wickedness unseen and festering beneath the city
streets. For something chilling has returned to San Francisco. Something,
and someone keeping the essence of humanities unconscious ghoulish
midnight fears within her bosom, has once again set sites upon the Opera
Plaza Theater in San Francisco California.
This June 20th in the year of 2009, A Nightmare to Remember Film Festival
led by the cinematic succubae Reyna “Miss Misery” Young and her Last
Doorway Productions has returned. They have risen from its graven slumber
to again seduce and taunt the creative blood of independent cinema.
A Nightmare To Remember Film Festival is a three hour journey into the
consciousness of horror as visually represented through short film by
local and national independent horror filmmakers. The night will bring
more than just the showcasing of fledgling purveyors of cinematic fright.
A Nightmare To Remember Film Festival is also a celebration, one awarding
the top three short films for their representing of the virtue of horror.
The night also brings the Horror Achievement award to Rick Popko and Dan
West, filmmakers of future horror classics such as Monsturd and Retardead.
There shall be a special tribute to Bob Wilkins, free prizes with a raffle
allowing the winner to be the sole survivor of the evening’s horrific
events. The first 20 people shall receive a goodie bag containing all
manner of grim pleasures. Attendees shall witness the guest of honor Mr.
Lobo, Horror Host of Cinema Insomnia,and guest Tony Moran The original
Michael Myers as well as become entranced by the horror hostess of the
film festival, Miss Misery.

Story: An anal retentive atheist social worker named Jimmy has just lost his girlfriend to the grave.
His situation grows worse once he stumbles upon a secret society of Angel and Demons, blending in with Humans on Earth...
Having his life saved by one particular very self serving, sarcastic and self abusive Angel, causes increasingly deadly side effects.
The powers that be want to tie up any loose ends and continue to conceal their existence by just executing Jimmy. But Jimmy barters to assist in a Grand Quest in hopes they will cure him.
Many temptations and pitfalls emerge as Jimmy now has no choice but help end a war between good and Evil...But which side will he take?

The Movie is shot entirely with Live Actors on Blue Screen, with all atmospheres, foregrounds, backgrounds, CGI creatures, etc... done in post. The look and feel is that of a Dark Graphic Novel. The situations lend to Graphic Horror, SCI-FI, Action, Comedy and Fantasy genres....

HOLLYWOOD: I must be one of the luckiest actresses in the world, as I am making film deals from Texas to San Francisco!!! :) I have 2 film announcements:
THE EIGHT: After months of meetings, emails, "talks"...it is OFFICIAL...Anthony Brownrigg, Maegan Brownrigg and I "did" lunch to seal the deal for one of the most powerful independent films to be made in a very long time! I am honored and floored to have the opportunity to work with a team as strong and talented as Anthony and Maegan and cannot wait to see how this project flows! I have signed a "top secret" NDA, so I cannot reveal much at this time, but to quote Anthony directly...
"Brooke Lewis has accepted the lead role in Anthony Brownrigg's next
film "the Eight", a paranormal thriller to be filmed later this year."

THE LAST REVENANTS: A female Vampire film??? Um...yes...I am all over it!!! :)> After having the pleasure of sharing XANADU CON with the incredible and talented Rachel Grubb, she referred me to the cool and interesting writers Scott C. Sanford and Ron R. Anand. Scott and I hit it off "scarily" and I have been offered the role of Geena to act with Rachel, the stunning Sybil Danning and several other sexy Scream Queens! The film will be directed by Robert Pratten and shoots at the end of the year. Vampire chick flicks...keep em' coming guys!!!

HIGH DRAMA: Back to TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND! Sooo, you can take the Scream Queen out of Hollywood, but you can't stop her from shopping!!! :) There were soooo many awesome vendors at the convention, but when I was introduced to Brandy Eastman and her DARK MATTER CREATIONS booth, it was all over!!! Her custom jewelry is EXQUISITE! I fell "horribly" in love with this one piece...an antique style necklace with pendant. Brandy was soooo unbelievably generous, she gave me the piece as a gift to take back to Hollywood to show off to all the celebs! :) I cannot thank her enough and you can be sure to look out for her necklace in my next photo shoot, as I will be wearing it like a proud ROCKSTAR!!! 48 Hours in Purgatory is a film about people. From the bad-ass crew of rock star film-makers to the subjects of their latest documentary, this movie explores the complexity of relationships, whether with others or with oneself.
Brody Hawkins (Andrew Roth) and his cohorts Veronique (Emily Alatalo), Jagt (Sean Saska) and Arkham (JC Hewitt), have risen to prominence in the New York film scene with documentary after documentary exploring the “demons of New York City.” Their films – ranging in subject matter from memorial tattoos using the ashes of cremated loved ones to the rare, sudden onset of mental illness in women delivering children –have become “must-sees.”
Hot off the heels of their latest film (the box-office smash “Bagface”) Brody and company head to Canada, a place where Brody has demons of his own, to film Veronique's pet project, 48 Hours in Purgatory. The film is to be a docustudy exploring what happens when people are (voluntarily) confined to small room and forced to confront the skeletons in their closets.
Things start out very well, in spite of emotional tensions among the crew. Part way through filming, however, tragedy strikes. Brody tries to soldier on and finish the film, pushing each subsequent subject harder and harder into the dark places of their lives. Finally Brody finds himself alone at the location, abandoned by his crew, with one subject remaining; A subject who will turn the tables on him, leading him to face his own inner demons.
Do our self-deceptions serve us better than we imagine? Do we have the courage to look past the simple labels we place on others? Do we have the courage to face our inner demons?

HORROR: I just got off the plane from 3 days in Vegas at XANADU CON and I look scarier than any horror flick I've watched lately! :) After not sleeping for days, I have bags under my eyes larger than Louie Vuitton Luggage!!! :) I am super bummed that I missed LA FANGO, but I definitely worked and partied in true Vegas fashion. I had the opportunity to speak on a few horror film panels with some amazing Scream Queens and Tucky Williams and I tore up Mandalay Bay one night! Michael Papajohn (SPIDER-MAN;TERMINATOR SALVATION) and I shared a booth at the convention and laughed our asses off! My favorite panel was WOMEN IN HORROR: OBJECTIFYING & SEXUALITY. I had the honor of speaking with my new horror gal pals:
Rachel Grubb (CAVE WOMEN ON MARS;TERROR OVERLOAD) and Tucky Williams (DEAD MOON RISING;SHADOWS LIGHT). Between the 3 of us, there was such great energy and so much girl POWER! Rachel owns SILENT-BUT-DEADLY PRODUCTIONS with Brooke Lemke and is a true artist thru and thru...she is everything I had read about and more. Tucky is so beautiful on the outside, but one of the sweetest women I have met in horror yet! I am thinking of leaving Hollywood to meet more cool chicks like this! :) I hope we will stay in touch for days to come.
Of course, I cannot forget to mention and thank my B MOVIE MAN, Nic Brown! Not only did Nic do an awesome, detailed interview with me, but he acted as the bodygard to Tucky and I all weekend ;) Thanks, Nic, baby!!!

HOLLYWOOD: XANADU included wonderful vendors and filmmakers outside of the horror genre, as well. I was fortunate to meet a lovely couple, Gwydhar and Dan, who will not be forgotten (again, those wonderful people who you may never be lucky enough to meet in life, if you never leave Hollywood! :) I have a strong gut feeling these guys are up to big things, so here's a "bite" of info about their company:
Blue Damen Pictures is a non profit film production company based in Chicago whose mission is to give individuals with an interest in filmmaking the opportunity to get hands on experience in production. We recently produced the award winning experimental short "Persephone" which is a retelling of the Greek myth of Persephone using masks and puppets. Currently we are working on a project called "The Insomniac Chronicles" which is a series of short films that will eventually be put together to create a feature length film all seen through the eyes of someone suffering from sleep deprivation. The first short in the series, entitled "The Visionary" will be previewing in May and the trailer for it can be seen on our website.

HOLLYWOOD: Thursday night I attended the red carpet screening of DESDEMONA: A LOVE STORY at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. I wanted to support the film and talented actor/producer James LaMarr. Often times with indie dramas, the viewer is quite disappointed...surely NOT the case with this one! I was so moved by this artistic film, my heart aches 3 days later! In the vein of a ROMEO AND JULIET, this film is beautifully shot, directed and acted. I was truly impressed with Phillip Guzman's direction and the work of Jorge A. Jimenez and Denton Blane Everett was tremendous!

SLIME CITY MASSACRE:

Cameras will roll on SLIME CITY MASSACRE, writer-director Gregory Lamberson’s sequel to his 1988 splatter film SLIME CITY, in Buffalo, New York, this July. The film is being produced by Marc Makowski, who co-produced the original.

SLIME CITY MASSACRE serves as both a prequel and a sequel to the original cult film. Flashbacks set in 1959 show how cult leader Zachary Devon formed his Coven of Flesh, and why its members committed ritual suicide, setting the stage for the events depicted in SLIME CITY. In the new film’s main narrative, set in a post holocaust New York City, four survivors discover Zachary’s elixir and “Himalayan yogurt” in the ruins of his soup kitchen and become possessed by the spirits of the dead cult members. The story focuses on a battle between three factions: the“Slime Heads,” cannibals and mercenaries.

Popular actress and FANGORIA Radio hostess Debbie Rochon, award-winning horror author Kealan Patrick Burke, and newcomer Jennifer Bihl (who appeared in Lamberson’s short film GRUESOME) join SLIME CITY stars Robert C. Sabin and Mary Bogle for this new chapter in the slime saga. Other parts will be played by scream queen Brooke Lewis, erotic/horror author and tarot card reader Sephera Giron, and Tommy Sweeney, who starred in Lamberson’s UNDYING LOVE and co-starred in NAKED FEAR.

“It’s a much more ambitious project than any of my previous films,” says Lamberson, who anticipates completing the film for a 2010 release. “It’s full of action and really outrageous, over the top gore sequences, as you would expect from any film aimed at fans of 1980s horror flicks.”

The film will utilize old school latex special make-up effects and cutting edge digital work. Special make-up effects will be handled by Craig Lindberg in New York City and Zombified Studios in Buffalo, with R.J. Sevin, one of the founders of Creeping Hemlock Press, creating the digital effects.

Last year, Medallion Press and Bad Moon Books published Lamberson’s novel Johnny Gruesome and McFarland published his nonfiction book CHEAP SCARES! Low Budget Horror Filmmakers Share Their Secrets. This October, Medallion Press is reprinting his first novel, Personal Demons, as a mass market paperback.

Mystery: Who's Ms. Vampy?

March 8, 2009 -- Los Angeles, CA. Many are billing Ms. Vampy as America's newest, sexiest and funniest vampire, but the horror world is buzzing with speculation over her true identity. "This is all very mysterious," said a local horror fan. "We just don't know who she really is, and no one will tell us. We do know that 'Ms. Vampy' is an alias, though."

Until this mystery is solved, authorities are asking the public for help and ask anyone with information on her identity to contact them. "We can't just let scantily clad, anonymous vampires run loose in Los Angeles, we need the public's help," said a Los Angeles Detective. Internet chat boards are now exploding with guesses as to who she really is. Some say Marisa Tomei, while others claim it's Brinke Stevens in disguise.

The Ms. Vampy mystery began late Sunday night as word leaked out that she and a few of her “horror” friends filmed some funny sketches at Ms. Vampy’s Villa in Hollywood. The tapes have yet to surface and calls to the production crew at the Villa asking them to corroborate the filming, and to identify Ms. Vampy have not been returned.

Lawyers filed an emergency "freedom of information" motion earlier this morning in Superior Court, but the judge has yet to rule. But authorities say there's hope, as the relentless investigation has uncovered some concrete details. Ms. Vampy lives in a villa, wears pleather and fur, has fangs, wild hair, bodacious tatas and an unmistakable east coast accent. Sources describe her personality as funny, sarcastic, high maintenance, boy crazy, and a mix of Paris Hilton meets My Cousin Vinny. "We're on her blood trail, we'll get her soon," said Governor Schwarzenegger.

Finally, Internet reports suggest Ms. Vampy has agreed to come out of hiding and expose her identity on the 29th of March when she guest hosts HorrorMovieFans.com's Indie Horror Radio Show with Parrish Randall. Reports claim that show producer, Andrew Rose and host, Parrish Randall refuse to comment on the subject of Ms. Vampy.
Until then, authorities pledge to stay on the case and keep the public safe.

HORROR/HOLLYWOOD/HIGH DRAMA: Okay, this week I am combining all my categories into one "monster mash"!!! ;)
Are you experiencing a little PARANOIA this week??? If so, it is because you are feeling the energy of PARANOIA HORROR FILM FESTIVAL that took place on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA this past weekend! (Um...why do you think I am 3 days late with my blog??? I was recovering from the party!!! :)PARANOIA FEST was a scary success! Major props go out to the owners of the new horror festival Shane Russeck, James LaVitola and Matt Gavin. These boys should be very proud! The first festival is always the most challenging and these guys made it happen "famously" ;) They came up with a genius plan to hold the festival on the HAUNTED Queen Mary ship...yeah, HAUNTED...horror crazed fans wanting to spend the weekend on a HAUNTED ship...imagine that??? ;) Then, they incorporated a bit of HOLLYWOOD into the mix, which surely attracted the "fu-fu" of the horror folks (okay, I admit it! :). From RED CARPETS to SPOTLIGHTS to PAPARAZZI, Hollywood was on board! The boat was rockin' with the likes of:

iMURDERS: Robbie Bryan (Writer/Director) & Christie Botelho (Producer/Actress) went from land, air to sea to support their film and celebrate with some of the posse, including Tony Todd, Harry Manfredini & Miranda Kwok. We had an amazing turnout and a ton of support and a special thanks goes out to all!!!
DARK REEL: Josh Eisenstadt (Writer/Director) and Aaron Pope (Writer) packed the theatre Sunday night with their star-studded horror flick. Tiffany Shepis, Rena Riffel and Jeffrey Vincent Parise were there to represent!

HIGH DRAMA: Mystery: Who's Ms. Vampy?
March 8, 2009 -- Los Angeles, CA. Many are billing Ms. Vampy as America's newest, sexiest and funniest vampire, but the horror world is buzzing with speculation over her true identity. "This is all very mysterious," said a local horror fan. "We just don't know who she really is, and no one will tell us. We do know that 'Ms. Vampy' is an alias, though."
Until this mystery is solved, authorities are asking the public for help and ask anyone with information on her identity to contact them. "We can't just let scantily clad, anonymous vampires run loose in Los Angeles, we need the public's help," said a Los Angeles Detective. Internet chat boards are now exploding with guesses as to who she really is. Some say Marisa Tomei, while others claim it's Brinke Stevens in disguise.
The Ms. Vampy mystery began late Sunday night as word leaked out that she and a few of her “horror” friends filmed some funny sketches at Ms. Vampy’s Villa in Hollywood. The tapes have yet to surface and calls to the production crew at the Villa asking them to corroborate the filming, and to identify Ms. Vampy have not been returned.
Lawyers filed an emergency "freedom of information" motion earlier this morning in Superior Court, but the judge has yet to rule. But authorities say there's hope, as the relentless investigation has uncovered some concrete details. Ms. Vampy lives in a villa, wears pleather and fur, has fangs, wild hair, bodacious tatas and an unmistakable east coast accent. Sources describe her personality as funny, sarcastic, high maintenance, boy crazy, and a mix of Paris Hilton meets My Cousin Vinny. "We're on her blood trail, we'll get her soon," said Governor Schwarzenegger.
Finally, Internet reports suggest Ms. Vampy has agreed to come out of hiding and expose her identity on the 29th of March when she guest hosts HorrorMovieFans.com's Indie Horror Radio Show with Parrish Randall. Reports claim that show producer, Andrew Rose and host, Parrish Randall refuse to comment on the subject of Ms. Vampy.
Until then, authorities pledge to stay on the case and keep the public safe.

HORROR: MS. VAMPY wrapped last night and I am back to babble! :) MS. VAMPY is my comedic New York Vampire character that is being marketed all over the internet...I promise to post you guys when the website and show are up and running! What an AMAZING shoot this weekend and I might be one of the luckiest women in the world (or, at least in the horror world!:)! My fabulous crew shot the MS. VAMPY web series at the Oscar winning DRAC Studios this weekend, where my B.F.F., the incredible Todd Tucker, Executive Produced my show. The production value was insane! MS. VAMPY had the coolest horror guests visiting her villa, but I am going to keep my fangs shut for now and you will have to wait a few more weeks for the bloody good info!!! :)>

HOLLYWOOD: Friday night I went to support my friend and business associate, Louis Mandylor's new film IN THE EYES OF A KILLER. The premiere was star-studded, including the cast of MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING! I am proud of Louis, as he did an exceptional job at both directing and starring in this film. Other cast members on hand were Costas Mandylor (SAW IV, V), who is always brilliant in my eyes and James Marshall, who I loved years ago on TWIN PEAKS! The female lead, Gwendolyn Edwards, was very natural and is one to watch out for and congrats goes out to the producer, Mamie Jean, who seemed to have a ton of fans there! :) Check out the info below on this psychological thriller:

"So, the short of it is... I got a sewing machine for my birthday last year because I wanted to make stuff. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to make, but I wanted to make... well... stuff. I started with curtains (easy enough), moved on to baby blankets and burpies, then... wait for it... HANDBAGS! That's when the addiction started... The holidays were approaching and I decided to make handbags for all of my female family members. The bags were a hit and my family suggested that I sell them. Voila! Maven Studio Handbags was born!
I'm starting small to see if it all works out, but I've created a Blog so you can check out all the current creations and news. I do custom work as well and there are photos of those on the Blog. They make great gifts because, as we all know, women can NEVER have too many handbags. Plus, if you know anyone who is getting married, the smaller bags make great Bridal party gifts!

HORROR: At the end of last year, my friend, Marv Blauvelt, introduced me to the work of a very talented, young writer...Trevor Wright. Marv and Trevor gave me the opportunity to read a script they had written together that truly blew me away (a rarity, I promise!)! They have since introduced me to another project they had shot called THE GREEN MONSTER. These are two talented boys that you should watch out for...
Marv had this to say about THE GREEN MONSTER: "I had an AWESOME time shooting my scenes for THE GREEN MONSTER in Boston. All of the cast and crew were incredible.....the film is going to be VERY different and unique (kind of a throw-back to quirky 80's horror films like MOTEL HELL and THE BLOOD DINER) and I am VERY pleased to have been in the cast....and the character I play is unlike any character I have played....(An idiot cop...kind of the comic relief in the film!)...I think horror fans will be very entertained by the unique story of the film!"

HOLLYWOOD: Okay, so I haven't blogged yet about films that I or my friends have nothing to do with, but this was a MUST!!! :) My girls and I went to a special screening of HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU this weekend and I just had to discuss!!! :) Whether you are a guy, girl, 20 or 50, check it out! If you have EVER been on a date, check it out!!! :) There is so much to learn from this film, whether you are single or in a relationship! As a single woman, I walked away with a smile, knowing that the flick simply reconfirmed how much I am committed to my career and learning to love myself right now...pretty powerful! I think when we are happy with ourselves, a great relationship is just icing on the cake!

HORROR: I have been "in talks" for some time to work on a new project from the multi-talented writer, director, producer, Greg Lamberson (SLIME CITY, NAKED FEAR). Well, I must admit, I finally took time to chill for a minute and watch the SLIME CITY dvd that I rented months ago! OMG!!! LOVED it! It was better than I ever imagined...smart, well-directed, great subtext in this film! If you are in the mood for a fun horror flick from 1988, I highly recommend checking it out:
"A student moves into a run-down building in New York City. His bizarre neighbors make a concoction in their apartment they call wine, but when he takes some of it, he turns into a deformed, murderous monster."
Greg is a true artist and I cannot wait to work with him!

Also, on the horror front, I am super excited to announce that I and iMURDERS have been invited to the new, unique, "horrific" PARANOIA Horror Film Festival on the haunted Queen Mary from March 13-15, 2009! HIGH DRAMA: Nothing that exciting this week...just working around the clock and still mourning the loss of my EAGLES for the Super Bowl...YUK! I have a few very cool projects in the works, but can't blog about them just yet ;) Went to dinner and a band gig Friday night with Courtney Gains...had a blast, as usual. The biggest drama was when my girlfriend, Laura, and I saw REVOLUTIONARY ROAD last night and cried our eyes out! We both decided after the flick that we are never getting married...F%*# that!!! We would rather be single and miserable than married and miserable! Hee...:)

HORROR: As you all know, the HOT HUNKS Calendar signing was last weekend and we were fortunate to have a lot of the hunks on hand in La La Land. I was lucky to finally meet some of these amazing men in person, after much communication via phone and email, as they flew in from all over the country! I had a chance to connect with one actor/director, in particular, over margaritas...the incredible Anthony Brownrigg! Anthony gave me a copy of his feature, RED VICTORIA, before he left...WOW and WOW! He proved to be a true "Texas" talent across the board! I thought his direction was impeccable! This was one of the most professionally done super low budget "horror" indies I have seen in a long time...adorable, fun, funny, painful and sharply executed. I must admit I was not familiar with Arianne Martin' s work and was very impressed...one talented lady! Anthony, thank you for sharing your talent and I hope I have the opportunity to work with you in the future! Horror peeps...this is a MUST see!

HOLLYWOOD: I wanted to share my private screening of BITTER/SWEET with you! My dear Philly friend and uber talented director, Jeff Hare returned from Thailand and was cool enough to show me a cut of his newest feature. The best way to describe this romance and comedy is sweeeeeeet!!! ;) I really really enjoyed it, thought Jeff's direction was superb and give major props to the acting performances of Kip Pardue and Spencer Garrett. The following is a brief synopsis:
"American businessman Brian Chandler has a perfect life with a great job and beautiful fiancée. When his boss, renegade coffee mogul Calvert Jenkins sends him to Thailand to inspect a crop for purchase, Brian meets Ticha, a beautiful Bangkok executive who has long-since given up on the prospects of finding love. At the urging of her old village and her coffee farmer parents, Ticha brings Brian to the coffee fields of Southern Krabi, with the hopes that Brian will purchase coffee there. The only problem with this plan is that Brian and Ticha absolutely can not stand to be around each other. As they go from the cosmopolitan bustle of Bangkok to the pristine, white sands beaches of Krabi, their relationship becomes more than just a coffee deal."
I would definitely recommend lookin' out for this "sweetheart" of a film!

HIGH DRAMA: Okay, so I gotta shout out this story...It shows, once again, why I love cool, powerful women in this business! A few months ago, I ordered a T-shirt from a female oriented horror site that I am very fond of...CADAVERGIRLS. I hadn't received it and wondered where it disappeared to! :) I received a big box last week and found my new t-shirt. To my pleasant surprise, my shirt was surrounded by a bunch of other CadaverGirls goodies...a second t-shirt, buttons, cards, etc...WHAT??? :) Okay, so my order arrived a bit late, but how cool are these horror chicks for stepping up and going above and beyond to make up for the late delivery??? My kinda girls, huh? I shot over an email to thank the coolest Cadaver Girls, Lady D-Kay & Adrenalyn, for their generosity and professionalism...their action showed me that they "take care of their business"! CADAVERGIRLS, you definitely have a loyal fan in me and I look forward to doing business with you in the future! Plus, I sooo love my shirt that says, "We put the "Gore" in Gorgeous...". HOLLYWOOD: Okay, gotta give props to some crew peeps of mine who worked on THE WRESTLER! I went to see it last week and it was freakin' tight!!! Now, that was one indie film that had a lotta heart! HIGH DRAMA: Drama follows me EVERYWHERE...or, at least, to Philly! :) Okay, so I'm at LAX waiting at the insanely crowded airport to go to Philly for the holidays. A seat just happens to open up next to me and who sits down...director Rachel Goldberg! We don't know each other, so I am minding my biz reading a script, our flight's delayed and we start yapping! It turns out we are both friends with Denise Gossett, actress and Shriekfest owner! We laughed, exchanged cards and Rachel suggested I read her drama/fantasy feature, I CAN'T HEAR YOUR NAME, which she will direct. Really intense and well-written story...I would say look out for this talented lady in the new year!
Now, an extra special Philly treat was our Cohen/Spector Family holiday dinner! Ladies (and, JERSEY Boys), I got to sit next to our multi-talented Broadway star cousin, Jarrod Spector, who plays Frankie Valli in the famous Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS! Belasco, don't be jealous! ;) All I have to say is, "Oh what a night"...

HOLLYWOOD: Last night I attended the premiere of Eric Etebari's "Bare Knuckles" at Raleigh Studios. EXCELLENT...truly! I am soooo proud of my dear friend, Eric Etebari ("Witchblade", "2 Fast 2 Furious"), and his directorial debut! We also had a special Jersey visitor in attendance...the Executive Producer, Jeff Quinlan! Talk about "Girl Power"...nothin' better than watching beautiful, strong women kick some ass!!! Here's the poster tagline: "A Knockout Fairytale Of Strength And Determination"...hello ladies! :) The film stars Martin Kove ("The Karate Kid"), Louis Mandylor ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") and gorgeous female kickboxers Jeanette Roxborough and Bridgett Riley. Of course, I must mention that I had fun playing Cassandra's Manager ;)

HIGH DRAMA: Okay, last, but surely not least...gotta discuss the hot drama of Friday night's "Don't Forget The Lyrics!" episode! Mark Weiser is my dear friend, business associate and the musical genius who created and produced the Off-broadway Vampire Rock Opera "The Cure", in which I played Jewel many moons ago. Mark was chosen as a contestant for the show and (SHOCKER! :) won BIG!!! Talk about "kickin' some ass"...he killed it! The producers created a blind date theme for the show and Mark and his "blind date" went "all the way" ;) and won $500K...taking home $250K each! HOLY F^*@!!! The real question is...did they take each other home after the show??? :) Mark, I am sooooo happy for you! Hey, you're treating me to STK next time you're in town ;)

Happy Holidays! I am headed to Philly & Atlantic City for a few days to see family and party with my girls in AC...I'll babble back in about a week!

Welcome back to my new BABBLING BROOKE BLOG! As promised, you will get a little HORROR...a little HOLLYWOOD...a little HIGH DRAMA! :)

HORROR: Last night I wrapped work on Ford Austin's DAHMER VS. GACY...freakin' unbelievable!!! I knew Ford was talented, but his direction was absolutely superb! We had a moment in my scene last night that cannot even be described! I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with him. I am listing more information from the horse's mouth below:

"Dahmer vs. Gacy is a crazy horror comedy about a secret government cloning program that decides to clone serial killers and genetically enhance and splice their genes to create a superkiller. When infamous clones of Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy escape the compound, they go on a wild killing spree in search of the scientist who cloned them so they can kill him and drag his ass to HELL. Along the way, a crazed redneck war veteran talks to GOD and battles Japanese Ninjas as he races to kill the Superclones before it is too late!
The movie stars Ford Austin, Art LaFleur, Irwin Keyes, Ethan Phillips, Randal Malone, Bonnie Aarons, Peter Zhmutski, Brooke Lewis, George Reynolds, Jed Rowen, Felissa Rose, Trey Alexander, Debbie Rochon, Alana Curry, Katie Lohmann, Jamie Campbell, Marc Wasserman and Anya Benton to name a few.

Another horror flick to watch out for is the sexy Elske McCain's JESSICKA RABID! We chatted about the film at dinner the other night and I can't wait to see it! Check out the logline: "They treated her like an animal...until she became one!" The film was written & directed by Matthew Reel. Elske stars in it and she is one badass chick!

HOLLYWOOD: I met the oh-so-talented Tamar Halpern at the Big Bear Film Festival many moons ago. You wanna talk about a powerful woman who inspires me and get shit done?! I cannot wait till she kicks my ass as a director! Some info about two of her projects below:

"Shelf Life, starring Betsy Brandt ("Breaking Bad") and Elisa Bocanegra ("Girl Fight", "White Oleanders"), is a the story of petty office politics set in a library. A dark comedy about a turf war between the head librarian and the book shelver, Variety called Shelf Life "whip smart" and said that director/writer Tamar Halpern "redifines American Comedy". It's available on NetFlix and, for a few lucky locals, it can be rented at Video Journeys in Silverlake. Shelf Life was rented 35 times in the first two months it was available at Video Journeys and now Tamar is looking for dvd distribution to other video stores. Tamar Halpern also has a new film out - a feature called Your Name Here. A coming of age story about two kids who want to start a garage band and all the crazy adults who get involved, Tamar shot it in her house and neighborhood of Silverlake as a nod to the uniquely independent music scene there. She made the film with her son, Jordan Halpern, inspired by music he had written and recorded at age fourteen with his friend Michael McTaggart - music used in the film. Tamar is currently looking for distribution for that film.

HIGH DRAMA: I feel like I should move my bed into Boardner's lounge in Hollywood! :) I have been there 3 times in one week! We all love it for their 1/2 price happy hour! ;) I had tons of laughs over dinner and drinks with bombshell Elske McCain ("Jessicka Rabid") and the multi-talented Kenneth J. Hall ("Puppetmaster"). I must admit, I am headed back tonight with the super cute & charming (and, single ladies! :) Don Danielson ("2:13"). Oh, no...another martini? How dare I? ;)
